Shakuntala Devi, a genius mathematician

Shakuntala Devi also known as human computer showed her genius ability with numbers at the age of 3. Since then she had been surprising everyone with her art of  playing with numbers and memorization. She had to her name name the world record of beating the fastest computer in the world in a complicated calculation by 10 sec.
She later became an astrologer. She also has to her credit a number of books. Little does anyone know that this genius did not have a proper access to schooling in her childhood. Despite the fact she honed her skills to achieve where she was today. Shakuntala Devi passed away on 21st April,2013... but has left us with many lessons to be learnt either from her books or from examples she has set for us in life.

Strange!!

A very strange thing happened today. In the evening when i was lying on my couch surfing through prime channels and watching couple of comedy series, i just dozed off to few minutes of power nap.And in those few minutes i had a dream too and i suddenly i woke up startled with a jerk. I don't remember exactly what i dreamt but last thing what jolted me was that i open a door casually and a strange frightening cat is in front of my face. And i wake up jolted with fear and surprise. All evening i kept thinking why did that cat come in my dream. I didn't see or hear or read anything related to cat then why??

When dad came home at night , i told him what happened with me in evening. And he said ....  when he was on his way back home, a cat was just saved from coming under his car.
What a strange day!! Cat day!!
Sometimes you dream something that is just totally unrelated to you but something like it it happens in real life with someone else. It could be a manifestation of something related????? Only God knows the reality of dreams. No one has been able to find the truth behind our dreams. Why does our subconscious mind dream

True identity- "Astitva"

Just an hour ago, when i was surfing channels on my tv i came through  this hindi movie -"Astitva". Though an offbeat cinema, it didnt fail to catch my attention. This movies unmasks the double standards of our society. Though today the world progressing each day with equal opportunities for men and women alike. But still there exists bias or favoritism based on gender.
Many thoughts are at this time racing through my mind on this issue of gender bias. But the main issue that was in this movie has particularly caught my mind. When a woman is caught of being disloyal to his man, it is a taboo. She has to pay the consequences. In today's society the consequences could be from simple divorce to extremes be a murder that is a man murdering his wife. And when a man is disloyal to his woman , there isn't any account of it and even if the woman knows about it she has to keep mum on the issue and say nothing. Though all people in this world are not bad and all are not disloyal and i am talking about men and women alike but there is this section of society who are double standard. And i know nowadays women are not lagging behind in this too. They too are disloyal at times but that section is still little and under the wraps for now. But even then even some men are so hypocrites that if they findabout their woman have an extra- marital affair they wont let the live inspite the fact that they themselves have presently or in the past been betraying their woman, their family. And no one is supposed to question them.

If you ask such people about their views on this topic , you would get the best hypocrite answer ever. They would say they don't believe in gender bias and men and women should be treated alike in this issue. But when it comes to facing real life situation , they would want their woman to forgive them and keep living normally as happy as they could be. And if it was their woman at the wrong end, they would not accept it and probably divorce the woman or may be even strangle her to death.

I feel men and women are equally wrong in betrayal and being disloyal. So why this hypocrisy?  People are always hidden behind these huge walls of hypocrisy. One's true identity is as if lost to this hypocritical world. To be part of this world, people have lost the true values of life, their morals.
"I say that a man must be certain of his morality for the simple reason that he has to suffer for it."
Hence people should stick to their morals. Do good. Be good. Be loyal and honest to your familes. Beacause you yourselves are the sufferers of your deeds. So better follow the right path than regretting later.

Life after marriage??????

What will be life like after marriage? Will i be able to adjust in new home, with new family in a completely new environment?
These questions are the only things on a girl's mind before the Big Day. But how to make the new people and place like your own is never thought about. One always thinks i will do what makes me and my husband happy, cook good food, be a good home maker apart from handling my career. But what no one thinks about that there are other people in your new home apart from your husband. One should think how to work towards achieveing that perfect family in perfect home with perfect happiness for all.
The only golden word needed for the perfection is Compromise. The day we would learn to compromise we would have all the above. But compromise doesn't mean that you let others take advantage of you. Be aware of things around you. But find little ways where you can spread happiness to all and smiles on everyone's faces. Taking care of someone's feelings at the cost of yours would sometimes make you sad but then others would appreciate your efforts and they would also take care of your happiness too.
The relationships in this world stand on one basic pillar that is good verbal communication. One well known saint, Giani Sant Bhai Maskeen ji once rightly explained that all relationships in this world are based on how you communicate with each other. If you talk good to people , you get the same in return. If you don't talk to people for days or months or years, that would slowly bring a gap in between people even with closest of relationships lik husband and wife.
Always remember being soft spoken is not buttering or flattering someone. Talk good and people would do the same with you. And compromises and bending down in front of your elders won't make you small rather that keeps relationships and turn you into better individual. Take new people as your very own. Keeping these things in mind would help alot in adjusting in new home. Every home every family is different from the other so you might not get all that you had before. But accepting the new as it is should be followed. All the best to everyone one out there with similar questions.
